Download and Installation Instructions Download the appropriate zip folder below. Locate the downloaded folder. Click "Extract All Files." You can use the suggested location for the extracted files; you just need to know where they are. Locate the setup file in the extracted folder, and double-click it to start the setup process. Download the 32-bit version if: You're already using Hallways 4, or You have a 32-bit computer, or You want to try Hallways on a tablet than runs a 32-bit version of Windows
Download the 64-bit version if: You want to try out Hallways 5 on a 64-bit desktop or laptop, and You're not already using a previous version of Hallways

BEFORE you can run Hallways 5, you'll need to make sure that you have Access 2010 Service Pack 2 installed. You will be prompted to download Microsoft Access 2010 Runtime during installation if you do not already have it installed. Once it's installed, open Microsoft Access 2010 Under the File Tab, click Help, then click Additional Version and Copyright Information. View Example >> If you do not have Access 2010 Service Pack 2 installed, Hallways 5 will not run on your computer. Use Control Panel > Windows Updates to get the latest updates and Service Pack 2. If you have SP2 installed, you're ready to download and install Hallways 5. If not, you'll need to install the updates before starting the Hallways 5 Demo. |

Installing Updates for Access 2010 Runtime In Control Panel, click Windows Update. In the Updates window, click Change Settings. You’ll see a window similar to the one below. Make sure that the “Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows” box is checked, then click “OK.” Now, click “Check for Updates.” You will be prompted to get the latest updates for Microsoft Access 2010. Choose to install the updates, and restart your computer when prompted. Congratulations! You’ve now completed the Hallways 5 installation, and are ready to start the program.
Under the Start menu, select Programs> Hallways 5 to begin. Depending on your computer’s security settings, you may see the following:
Click Open to continue. There are no issues with Hallways that will adversely affect your computer. This is a standard Windows security warning. If you receive this security warning when opening Hallways, click Enable Content. This message will only appear once. The initial password for Hallways is "school" without the quotation marks. The Hallways 5 Manual included in your download contains more information about starting and using Hallways 5.
