Information collected for the PEIMS program (Public Education Information Management System) is entered from within the Student Module. Hallways collects information for Table 110 (Student Enrollment) and Table 101 (Student Demographics). When entering PEIMS data, the dropdown lists show the descriptive name for each category, not the PEIMS code. However, Hallways stores the information in the proper code format, so there’s no future translation needed. PEIMS categories are not adjustable by the user. You can print a PEIMS Code Key from the Documentation Module.
Even if you are not required to use PEIMS data, it may be helpful to track certain data, such as gender, ethnicity, and at-risk students.
